It does not include all the English alphabets although it consists of some 19 syllables. It is pronounced this way

pneu/mo/no/ul/tra/mi/cro/scop/ic/sil/i/co/vol/ca/no/co/ni/o/sis

It describes the health condition of a patient who has inhaled very fine quartz or silica dust. However, physicians normally prefer to use the word silicosis, instead of this forty-five-letter word
