Fighting Fires
Fire is dangerous . It is dangerous because it can start anywhere and very fast .
There are many kinds of fires . There are chemical fires , oil , gas and electrical fires . A fireman must be able to deal with all kinds of fires . They do not only put out fires , they also rescue people when there are accidents . They teach children about the dangers of fires .




Accidents in the Homes
A large numbers of accidents happen in the home . The most common accidents are falls , burns , scalds , electrocution suffocation and poisoning .
Small children are very active . They put everything in their mouths. They play with sharp things . They put plastic bags in their heads . Mothers have dangers in the kitchen like burns , cuts , from kitchen utensils and open tins .




The Early Spread of Islam
Islam spread all over the world . First , it was taken outside the Arabian Peninsula in peace . The enemies of Islam tried to stop its spread .
As the Muslims advanced to the north , soldiers of the Roman Empire met them . Muslims captured Damascus then they took Jerusalem . Then they defeated the Romans and the Persian armies . They introduced Islam there .



The Food We Eat
Everyone needs to be healthy and to stay alive . However , we cannot eat only one kind of food . We need a balanced diet . In other , we need food which contains five important substances : proteins ,minerals, carbohydrates ,fats and vitamins .
Energy in is measured in calories . A person need about 40 calories a day for each kilo that he weighs . If you eat more calories than you need , your body stores the extra calories as fat .
